    Accessibility statement

The see.guru website is operated by See Guru, Inc.. We work to make the site comfortable and accessible for everyone, including people with disabilities, and we keep improving it.

    The standard we aim for

We are adapting the site to Israeli Standard 5568, which is based on the WCAG 2.0 guidelines at level AA, as required by the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 2013.

    Where we are today

The site partially conforms to the standard. Some pages and components are not fully adapted yet, and the work continues.

This statement covers the see.guru website. See Guru lessons take place online, in a video call.

    Statement last updated:

    What has been adapted

    • Keyboard navigation: buttons, links and dialogs can be reached with the keyboard, and a link at the top of the page goes straight to the content.
    • Screen readers: the main buttons, links and dialogs have names that screen readers announce, and the labels of the language, currency and time zone picker are bound to their fields.
    • Contrast: secondary text colors were adjusted to be easier to read, in the light and the dark theme.
    • Text direction: pages in Hebrew and Arabic are shown right to left.
    • Reduced motion: some animations stop when the device asks for reduced motion.
    • Any screen size: the site works on phones, tablets and computers, and the page can be zoomed in the browser.
    • Language: every page declares its language, and the language list names each language in that language.

    Known limitations

    • Zoom: some lessons can take place in Zoom, a third-party service. Zoom's accessibility is set by the company that runs it.
    • YouTube videos: embedded videos come from YouTube, a third-party service.
    • Teacher videos: the introduction videos that teachers upload do not always have captions.
    • The lesson room: See Guru's video lesson room is built in-house, and its accessibility work is still in progress.
    • Pages after sign-in: the checkout, the account, homework and the practice games have not had a full accessibility check yet.
    • Older components: some older parts of the site may lack names for screen readers or full keyboard support. We fix them as we find them.
