How do I cancel a lesson, and what happens to it?

On the "My Lessons" page you open the lesson card's menu and choose "Cancel lesson". A paid lesson can go back to waiting to be scheduled and be booked again with the same teacher, or its price can go to your wallet. Cancelling or changing is free of charge until one hour before the lesson starts.

Step by step

Sign in and open the "My Lessons" page.
On the lesson card tap the menu button (the three dots) and choose "Cancel lesson".
In the "Cancel Lesson" window choose what happens to the lesson:
"Reassign the lesson to 'Not assigned' status": the lesson stays yours, and you can book it again later with the same teacher. "Cancel the lesson and get a refund": the lesson's price goes to your See Guru balance, and you can pay with it for a lesson with any teacher. "Reschedule the lesson": if you only need another time, you pick a new date instead of cancelling.
Write the reason in the "Cancelation reason" field and tap "Cancel lesson".

How you know it worked

The message "You successfully canceled a lesson" appears. A lesson sent back to scheduling shows under "Not Assigned", and a lesson whose price went to the wallet shows under "Cancelled".

Good to know

Cancelling or changing is free of charge until one hour before the lesson starts.

Less than an hour before the start the lesson can no longer be moved, and cancelling it counts as a lesson used.

Money that goes to the wallet stays there for the next lessons. Within 14 days of the payment you can ask support to return it to the card. Lessons already held are not refunded.

A free trial lesson that is cancelled does not come back and cannot be booked again. If only the time does not suit you, choose "Reschedule".

Tapping "Cancel lesson" does nothing

Check that you wrote a reason in the "Cancelation reason" field.
